Scott, Grayson Scott 001 Party
I was thinking long and hard about what I wanted to do for his first birthday celebration. I thought of all the standard stuff: trucks, monsters, Ninja Turtles, trains, animals...but then I thought to myself, what if Grayson is super into Ninja Turtles or monsters in a few years from now and I've already thrown that party for him? So I went back to the idea board, thinking to myself, what would be something he would NEVER WANT TO DO when he got older, but I could do at one. And it dawned on me: James Bond party. My little man is the ultimate gentleman, afterall.
I didn't want to go too overboard with his little family get together, but I wanted something memorable for both him and I, in his scrapbook. I found THE CUTEST and MOST REASONABLE baby tux off Aliexpress (my go-to party site--again, shipping takes a while, so you gotta plan ahead when ordering) for the inspiration for the celebration. I used my ever-so-lovely Cricut-air to make bowtie napkin holders for his casual black white/casino royale-style party.
I used my Cricut to create a 001 sign out of vinyl and attached it to a plexiglass sheet I picked up at the Home Depot. I commissioned a super talented woodsmith in my neighborhood to create 2 large dice (you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find moderately priced-oversized dice online) out of wood that could display the sign. It turned out so fantastic, I decided to utilize it for his 1 Year Photos AND the centerpiece at the dinner table, with oversized playing cards!
I 1000% don't regret the planning and little details that went into this little party-unique for sure!Blog
